Media?

“It’s a wrap!”

Media, depending on the viewer, could be good or bad. For me, good in a way that it shows the greatness of Filipino culture. As I have said, A.S.A.P ’06 a renowned international T.V. show, gives foreigners an insight on us Filipinos - how we speak, act and think. On the other hand, media’s influence is too powerful that it creates a mind set especially to teenagers. They think media is good for it always shows the “ins” and “outs” of the season. Thus, it determines the culture of people. Media is in control.

As this comes to an end for this quarter, I realized that media is not always for pleasure and different people perceive things differently from my own understanding. Also, media is one of the primary reasons for evident cultural changes.

We all know that media messages are not there to gratify us and yet we still support these things. Life is so ironic, isn’t it? :)
