Bb. Pilipinas

Held last March 4, 2007 with over 30 finalists, the Bb. Pilipinas coronation night was yet again a remarkable night for the contestants, judges, the audience and the winners. The list of candidates included known actresses - Ailyn Luna, a former Starstruck Avenger and Margaret Wilson, a star in GMA’s TV Show, Asian Treasures were among them. There were also some neophytes such as Anna Theresa Licaros and Nadia Shami.

I am really fond of watching Beauty Pageants especially when our country is included. When I was a kid, I used to wear high-heeled shoes of my mom and titas and walk in front of them, feeling like I was a contestant of some pageant show. Unexpectedly, I managed to carry that liking until now. As part of my countless dreams, I also want to join a Beauty contest. It is not really want I want to do or to be, I am just after the experience.

I am not against Bb. Pilipinas but with this year’s show, I am particularly disappointed. Everything was alright with me except one thing – the judging. Robin Padilla was one of them who was by the way a co-star of Margaret Wilson. I think that there were some biases made in the show. No offense but, I did not even like Ms. Wilson’s answer in one segment of the show. They should have given the title to a more deserving person like Leizel Verses whose answer was short but very substantial.

I am looking forward to seeing and supporting my bet, Anna Theresa Licaros, crowned Bb. Pilipinas – Universe, in the upcoming Pageants she will be in. :)
