Fireworks

World PyroOlympics 2006

If you say, fireworks are dangerous, poisonous, toxic, and harmful to people, I beg to disagree.

To those who are afraid of fireworks, they will only think of the negative effects, and if they do notice the positives effects it can give, it is minimal. I think, if the cautions are taken and done seriously, there wouldn’t be much injuries or harm.

Don’t you think fireworks are something to look forward to every New Year? For me, I anticipate the fireworks during New Year because I get amused by all the colors because the colors that I see are a symbol of hope, a rainbow of hope, for the coming year. I do not see fireworks everyday so it is really a must-see for me every year.

In connection with this, the World PyroOlympics which started last Friday, January 5, 2006, is a great way to express the great skills we have in making fireworks. I think, holding the Olympics here again in the Philippines is a good chance for our tourism to boost up. Not only the Filipinos who will watch but foreigner’s from the competing countries as well.

This is a great opportunity for us Filipinos to show we’ve got talent! :D
