Mellow 94.7

"We Play Everything."

In line with my previous post, Mellow 94.7 has been my radio station since 97.1 changed. Though they rarely plays new songs, there are still good programs in it. One is the Word of the Day.

Word of the Day is very useful to me since I really do not a lot much time for vocabulary reading. I applaud this radio station for being a student-friendly station. Not all stations would include this kind of program in their line-up. They would most probably report on musicians, new music coming out and the like. Also, their news is not just about celebrities and entertainment but local news, too.

Moreover, I also liked the fact that they are playing old songs which make me reminisce a bit. Hearing Sugar Ray, Maroon 5, Stephen Speaks, Selena and others’ hits on the radio makes me appreciate their music more. Even if their songs were from the past, there is still a certain feeling that drives me to still love the song. That I think is the power of old songs.

If people will just know more about this station then they might be able to find an alternative for Campus Radio and maybe, even better.
