97. 1 WLSFM to Barangay LSFM?

This radio station had been airing its newly reformatted show for quite sometime now and I must say the show changed for the worse.

When they aired the first time, I thought it would just air for a while but then I heard their tagline which goes, “Barangay LSFM, Forever!”. I was shocked. I could not believe that a good and recognized radio station would change drastically - from playing new and updated tunes to kiddy novelty songs. Who would listen to that anyway?

Also, what happened to their fluent DJs? Have they gone mad by using an inappropriate lingo (Taglish)? Personally, I am an advocate of the Filipino language and I suggest if they cannot speak English, better use Filipino then. I pity them being forced to speak in a way that they are not used to.

I am just saying that no one would really like to hear novelty songs repeatedly even though they are a hit nowadays. People need good music. People should hear good music. Hearing comments like these from others, they are into a great downfall.
